Services

Swissjoule and associates offer a broad range of services to support the implementation or placement of renewable projects and most efficient technologies.

Project development:
Swissjoule is engaged in the development of energy initiatives in various locations. By collaborating with both local and remote partners, we assess the unique requirements of specific countries or regions and devise solutions to address the challenges encountered on-site.

Swissjoule undertakes a diverse range of projects, spanning from large-scale solar installations to endeavors such as water purification and waste processing. On some occasions, a combination of these efforts becomes necessary. In certain communities, the cost-effective provision of clean water is a challenge, primarily due to rising electricity costs or the need for the replacement or refurbishment of aging technical equipment.

When planning and sizing solar energy systems and considering land and roof constraints, it becomes apparent that upgrading outdated and infrequently serviced pumping equipment with cutting-edge technology is essential. During negotiations with local authorities and decision-makers, an unresolved issue regarding municipal solid waste presented an opportunity to generate additional electricity by transforming landfill residues.

In reality, a project was initiated, beginning with solar-powered water purification, and it is set to be complemented by waste processing. This project is currently in progress.

Business planning and financial modelling:
There is no opportunity without financial projecting.
Financial projection is an integral aspect of our project development process. We employ advanced tools to construct comprehensive financial models, which encompass various factors, including:

– Irradiation data tailored to the specific property in question.
– Local tariff structures for energy consumption or direct utilisation.
– Subsidies specific to the country of operation.
– Performance evaluations, such as solar panels, mounting systems, and inverters.
– Costs associated with components and services.

Energy Efficiency:
Swissjoule consults industry and other sectors to decrease current consumption.
Analysis of current consumption and cost and operating times set the base.

Existing consuming devices will be rated, existing replacements researched and proposed. This can be pumps, heat or cold for certain processes or even lighting systems.

Financial modelling will demonstrate the reduction of consumption and cost against the investment.
A well funded replacement decision can be made.

Project placement:
We have the capacity to present both in-house projects and third-party projects at various stages of development maybe green field, brown field, ready to be built or already commissioned to engage potential investors.

Initial due diligence procedures allow us to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses inherent in these opportunities. Our financial planning process, which involves multiple iterations, serves as our roadmap to crafting a finely tuned financial proposal that we can present to potential lenders or investors.

Carbon credits:
The motivation to reduce carbon emissions carries dual benefits, serving both the global environment and a compelling business case. Numerous political regions, such as the EU, the UK, and the state of California, have already instituted mandatory carbon markets, particularly for specific industry sectors and greenhouse gases.

These markets play a significant role in the collective human endeavor to limit global warming to a maximum of 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, with an even more ambitious target of staying within a 1.5-degree Celsius increase.
In addition to the compliant markets where Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) are enforced, there are also voluntary schemes in various regions and markets that contribute to the preservation of our planet.

Swissjoule plays a pivotal role by assisting in the planning and certification of projects that are prepared for regulated deployment and the acquisition of carbon credits, furthering the cause of carbon emission reduction.

Financing:
Leveraging our comprehensive due diligence process, financial planning, and optimization expertise, Swissjoule and our network of associates can facilitate the financing of renewable projects across various stages of development. Whether it involves project rights or fully implemented turnkey projects, we can introduce and offer them to a pre-selected pool of investors interested in diverse destinations and technologies.

For projects intended to be retained and added to an existing portfolio, we can structure financing solutions, including pure financing arrangements or built, operate, and transfer (BOT) schemes. Additionally, we explore the option of combining supplier financing with export financing to meet project requirements.

In each of these scenarios, Swissjoule and our associates conduct a thorough evaluation of the specific case and present a tailored financial model. This model is based on project-specific securities, performance and quality warranties, and the projected revenue streams, ensuring that the financing solution aligns with the unique characteristics and needs of each project.
